Students in this class will master the legal research skills introduced in the first year Legal Practice Skills course and explore new research methods. The course will emphasize problem analysis, efficient research strategies, and effective use of a range of legal research databases. Topics covered include administrative materials, legislative history, specialized subject resources, and electronic resources beyond Westlaw and Lexis. The course is strongly recommended for anyone wanting to strengthen their skills with legal research. A substantial portion of class sessions will be spent working with research problems. Students will complete multiple assignments through the quarter.
