The Law School's intramural moot court competition, the Edwin R. Keedy Cup Competition, begins with the Keedy Cup Preliminaries, a voluntary competition among second-year students during the Spring Term. Students brief a pending United States Supreme Court case and argue the case before a panel of faculty members and local practitioners. Twenty-two semifinalists are chosen after the first round of argument. Competitors receive one academic credit for their work. Appellate Advocacy is not a prerequisite. The case will be distributed by the Moot Court Board in early January, and participants will have approximately three weeks to write their briefs. You must register for the course to access the problem case when it is posted to the course portal. Drop/add ends one week after the problem case is distributed.
