PLEASE SEE IMPORTANT ENROLLMENT PROCEDURES FOR EXTERNSHIPS AVAILABLE ON THE REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS PAGE.

The University of Pennsylvania’s Office of General Counsel (OGC) is offering an externship in their office next semester. This is open to all 2L and 3L students at Penn Law. OGC supports the University and the University of Pennsylvania Health System, and externs will have ample opportunity to work on both University and Health System legal matters.

The OGC externship program, which has existed for many years, allows students to work closely with attorneys in OGC and become involved in a broad range of legal issues. Students are encouraged to participate in meetings and to take an active role in legal matters. Students interested in applying, may consult the following website for more information: http://www.upenn.edu/ogc/externships.html.

HOW TO APPLY:

Please note that there is a separate application required for this Gittis Externship. In order to apply, please submit a resume, writing sample, transcript and a brief statement of interest addressed to Krystyna Dereszowska, Esq., Associate General Counsel, and Denene Wambach, Esq., Associate General Counsel, in one PDF via email to externships@law.upenn.edu with OGC in the subject line by 11 AM on October 19, 2022.

The externship is for 7 credits (requiring approximately 21 hours per week). All students will be notified of their application status before the end of Advance Registration so they can make other course selections if not selected for enrollment.

Please email externships@law.upenn.edu with any questions.
